Quavo

Quavious Keyate Marshall, professionally known as Quavo, is an American rapper hailing from Athens, Georgia. He is best known as the frontman of the hip hop group Migos, which he formed with his nephew Takeoff and their mutual friend Offset in 2008. The group released four commercially successful studio albums before disbanding in 2023.

As a solo artist, Quavo has guest-performed on six Billboard Hot 100 top ten singles, including “Congratulations” by Post Malone, “Intentions” by Justin Bieber, “Strip That Down” by Liam Payne, “Portland” by Drake, and “No Brainer” and “I’m the One” by DJ Khaled, the latter of which peaked at number one on the chart. His debut studio album, Quavo Huncho, was released in 2018 and peaked at number two on the Billboard 200, featuring the platinum-certified single “Workin Me”. His second album, Rocket Power, was released in 2023 and peaked at number 18. The album was released in memory of Takeoff, who was slain the year before.

Quavo was born on April 2, 1991, in Athens, Georgia. He and the other members of Migos grew up together in Gwinnett County, a mostly suburban area 20-30 minutes northeast of Atlanta. Quavo attended Berkmar High School where he was the starting quarterback of its football team during his senior year in 2009. Despite finishing the football season, Quavo dropped out of Berkmar months before graduation. He previously held the Georgia High School record for completing 28 passes in a game in 2009 until being surpassed by Taylor Heinicke.
