Tyga and YG are cooking up something hot in the music scene! These two Compton rappers have been teasing us for months with hints of a joint project.
It's been an exciting rollercoaster, from announcing their co-headlining tour with Saweetie to the big reveal of the project's title, “Hit Me When U Leave The Klub.”
They've just dropped the release date (mark your calendars for September 29) and tantalizing tracklist, which includes guest appearances by Busta Rhymes and Lil Wayne. This project, which they call a playlist, promises to be a musical masterpiece.
YG, Keenon Dequan Ray Jackson, hails from Compton, California. He burst onto the scene with the hit single “Toot It and Boot It” in 2010, earning him a spot on the Billboard Hot 100. Meanwhile, Tyga, aka Micheal Ray Stevenson, made waves after signing with Young Money Entertainment, Cash Money Records, and Republic Records in 2008. These two West Coast heavyweights are bringing their A-game to the table.
About that tour with Saweetie – it looks like it's hit a roadblock, but fret not! The real treat is the impending release of “Hit Me When U Leave The Klub: The Playlist.” YG and Tyga have been steadily dropping fire singles like “West Coast Weekend,” “Platinum,” and “PARTy TIM3,” building up the hype for this collaboration. They've been working on this project since 2022, and while we can't undo the tour cancellation, we can certainly look forward to vibing with their new tunes when they drop at the end of September.
