The Kid Laroi provided an update on his debut album, The First Time, in August. He promised the album would have 20 tracks, including rap, alternative, pop, and R&B genres.
The album would also include an accompanying short film. The artist has since released two singles, “Too Much,” featuring Central Cee and Jung Kook, and “What Just Happened.”
“BLEED” is the third and final single in the second official rollout for The Kid LAROI's debut studio album, THE FIRST TIME. The steroid first mentioned the song in November 2022 on Twitter, and it would later be featured in the album's official trailer and cover art.
In June 2023, Laroi filmed the music video for “BLEED.” The song was previewed on TikTok five days before its release on November 10, 2023.
Laroi revealed the full tracklist for The First Time on November 1, 2023. The album features 20 tracks, including collaborations with various artists that showcase the album's range.
Laroi first mentioned The First Time in January but only recently confirmed its release date. In a lengthy caption shared alongside the album's cover art, he explained why he had taken so much time between projects.

Charlton Kenneth Jeffrey Howard, who goes by the stage name The Kid Laroi, is an Australian singer-songwriter and rapper born on August 17, 2003. He gained popularity through his association with American rapper Juice Wrld when he was on tour in Australia. The Kid Laroi received a local fan base, which led to him signing a joint venture record deal with Lil Bibby's Grade A Productions and Columbia Records. His 2021 single, “Stay” (with Justin Bieber), achieved mainstream recognition and peaked in the charts in multiple countries, including his native Australia, the Canadian Hot 100, and Billboard Hot 100.
His debut mixtape, “F*ck Love” (2020), became a chart-topper on the Australian ARIA Charts, making him the youngest Australian solo artist to reach the top of the chart. It also reached number one on the US Billboard 200. The mixtape featured his first hit song, “Without You,” which was remixed with American singer Miley Cyrus and reached the top ten of the Billboard Hot 100. Howard claims that he enjoys making both rap and pop music and doesn't stick to a single genre.
