About Seyi Vibez
Seyi Vibez, whose real name is Balogun Afolabi Oluwaloseyi, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter who began his career in 2019. He was born on July 12, 2000, in Ketu, Lagos, Nigeria, and later moved to Ikorodu, Lagos State, where he grew up1.
He first gained popularity in 2021 with the release of his single “Godsent.” He released his debut album, No Seyi No Vibez (NSNV), that same year. His second studio album, Billion Dollar Baby, and the Mixtape, “Billion Dollar Baby 2.0,,” were released in 2022, and the album peaked at number 1 on the Turntable 50 albums chart. In 2023, Seyi Vibez released his 5-track debut Extended Play, “Memory Card,” which garnered over 6.30 million streams in the first week. He was featured on the song “Let There Be Light” by fellow Nigerian star Zlatan, which debuted at No. 14 on Apple Music's Top 100 Nigeria Chart1.
However, Seyi Vibez also experienced personal tragedy and conflict during his rise to fame. On March 16, he announced the passing of his mother, an event he described as the “darkest day” of his life.
