You can also catch the live premiere of the video on The Show on Friday, March 8 during an NKOTB episode takeover.

According to the press release, the album is a mix of pop anthems, dance tracks, love , and grooves. It will become a fast favorite for the Blockheads and the fans. The band's creative director, Donnie Wahlberg, stated that this is the most mature album they've ever made, yet it's the most fun and comfortable album they've ever made. In addition, the collection features DJ Jazzy Jeff on “Get Down” and Taylor Dayne on “Old School Love”.

The lead single “Kids” features a look-back chorus from the long-running boy band. The band sings, “And we're still just kids from a nobody town, still just kids that are messing around, making the most of the things that we found.” The song showcases the band's fun and energetic spirit, even after almost 40 years together.

Joey McIntyre, who co-wrote six of the tracks with songwriter/producer Sean Thomas, stated that the album has a lot of energy, passion, lightness, fun, and depth despite their almost 40 years together as a band.

LYRICS

  • We're free, and we got nowhere to be
  • And we're still just kids from a nobody town
  • Still just kids that are messing around
  • Making the most of the things that we found, woah
  • Jump in the drop-top 'cause wе're taking it up
  • Got time on lock and it's all that we got
  • Wе're free and we got nowhere to be

(also known as NKOTB) is an American boy band hailing from Dorchester, Massachusetts.

The group is composed of five members: brothers Jonathan and Jordan Knight, Danny Wood, Donnie Wahlberg, and Joey McIntyre. The group achieved success during the late 1980s and early 1990s and sold over 80 million records globally.

They are often credited with paving the way for the popularity of boy bands, such as Take That, Backstreet Boys, NSYNC, and One Direction.

Formed in 1984, New Kids on the Block rose to fame in 1989, an achievement that Rolling Stone listed as number 16 on its “Top 25 Teen Idol Breakout Moments” list.

The band disbanded in 1994 but reunited in 2007 to record an album and embark on a concert tour the following year. Since then, the group has released two more studio albums and has continued to tour.

In 2014, New Kids on the Block were awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, cementing their legacy as one of the most iconic boy bands of all time.
