DPR IAN is back, and he’s taking us on a wild ride with his latest EP, “Dear Insanity…” The journey begins with the lead single, “Peanut Butter & Tears,” which dropped on August 4, 2023.
In the accompanying music video, we witness a young IAN venturing into The Other Side realm, a place where sanity takes a backseat and Mr. Insanity takes the wheel.
Following that, “So I Danced” hit the scene on September 15, and it’s nothing short of a cinematic heist. Mr. Insanity orchestrates a daring bank robbery in The Other Side, but he’s met with an unexpected adversary – MITO, another alter ego of IAN representing his manic lows. The battle unfolds, and the consequences are seismic as MITO transforms The Other Side into his own chaotic image.
DPR IAN, also known as Christian Yu, has come a long way from his C-Clown days. Born in Sydney, Australia, he ventured into K-pop, not as a singer, but as a dancer, initially. His evolution from a street-cast talent to a multi-talented artist is a testament to his dedication.
With “Dear Insanity…” and its alter egos, DPR IAN explores the depths of his own experiences, including his battle with bipolar disorder. It’s a musical journey worth embarking on, where the lines between reality and fantasy blur, and the music takes you to the edge of sanity and back.
