Ken Carson

Kenyatta Lee Frazier Jr., professionally known as Ken Carson, is an American rapper and record producer born on April 11, 2000.

In 2019, he signed with Playboi Carti‘s record label Opium, a subsidiary of Interscope Records, to release his debut studio album, Project X, which was released in 2021. Although the album received mixed to unfavorable critical reviews, its songs “Rock N Roll” and “Run + Ran” gained popularity on TikTok.

Carson’s second album, X, which was released in 2022, also received unfavorable reviews but became his first entry on the Billboard 200 chart. His third studio album, A Great Chaos, was released in 2023 and reached number 11 on the chart, receiving positive critical reception.

Carson is closely associated with Destroy Lonely, his Opium labelmate, frequent collaborator, and fellow Georgia native.

In 2015, Carson joined 808 Mafia as a rapper after meeting record producer TM88. He began releasing music on SoundCloud as early as 2017 and gained popularity in the underground rap scene. In 2019, fellow Atlanta rapper Playboi Carti discovered him and signed him to his label Opium, making Carson the first artist to be signed to Opium out of Destroy Lonely and Homixide Gang.
