RM, the leader, songwriter, and rapper of BTS, has announced his second full-length solo album, titled “Right Place, Wrong Person”. The album is set to release on May 24th and features 11 tracks, all written by RM himself.

The follow-up to his 2022 album “Indigo” will focus on moments of feeling like a stranger and being out of place. RM wrote and recorded the album before beginning his compulsory period in the South Korean military. While his bandmate Jin is set to finish his enlistment in June 2024, RM won’t complete his time until June 2025. This project marks his return after one year and five months and reveals an added layer of his unique artistic depth. Recently, j-hope, another member of BTS, unveiled a docuseries and mixtape titled “Hope on the Street”, which he had also recorded before enlisting.

According to a statement from BIGHIT MUSIC, “Right Place, Wrong Person” embodies RM’s unique style as a solo artist, distinct from albums released under BTS. The album is expected to feature an alternative sound, and rumors suggest that RM may have collaborated heavily with Balming Tiger, a CoSign alum. RM’s previous album, “Indigo”, featured collaborations with artists such as Erykah Badu, Anderson .Paak, and Tablo of Epik High.
