SM Entertainment announced on July 12, KST, that NCT Dream’s 3rd full album, ‘ISTJ,’ pre-orders have surpassed 4 million copies. The album is set to release on July 17 and has already recorded 4.1 million pre-orders with approximately five days remaining in the pre-order period. NCT Dream’s 2nd full album ‘Glitch Mode’ had 2,070,000 pre-orders in March 2022, which means pre-orders for their upcoming album have doubled in just a year. ‘ISTJ’ includes ten tracks, including the title track, which tells a heartwarming love story of an ENFP who feels attracted to an ISTJ, a direct opposite on the MBTI spectrum, in a hybrid hip-hop dance genre.
NCT DREAM is a boy group under SM Entertainment, consisting of 7 members – MARK, JISUNG, RENJUN, CHENLE, JAEMIN, JENO, and HAECHAN. They debuted in 2016 with “Chewing Gum” and became a rotational unit after the release of their EP, Reload.
The original graduation system for members required them to graduate once they turned 20 years old in Korean age (19 in international age), considered adulthood in Korean culture. MARK was the first and only member to officially “graduate” after turning 20 and did not participate in unit promotions starting January 1, 2019. However, since the rotational transition in April 2020, MARK has joined subsequent unit promotions starting with “무대로 (Déjà Vu; 舞代路)” on the NCT 2020 album and the group’s highly-anticipated debut studio album, Hot Sauce, released in May 2021.
