Deeper Well is the sixth studio by American country music singer-songwriter . It will be released on March 15, 2024, under MCA Nashville and Interscope Records.

Co-produced and co-written by Musgraves, Daniel Tashian, and Ian Fitchuk, Deeper Well features tracks that reflect the changes and priorities that occurred in Musgraves' life after age 27.

Except for “The Architect,” which Shane McAnally and Josh Osborne crafted, Musgraves, Tashian, and Fitchuk wrote all the other songs on the . Musgraves recorded the at Electric Lady Studios in New York City, which she considers to have the best “mojo.”

The eponymous lead single was released alongside the announcement on February 8, 2024. On February 4, Musgraves teased the project in a commercial during the 66th Annual Grammy Awards entitled “My Saturn Has Returned.” The lead single was inspired by changes in feelings and sentiments that may initially be off-putting yet provide new insight and deeper love elsewhere.

On February 29, 2024, Musgraves announced that she would perform shows in Europe and North America to support the . The tour is set to begin on April 28 in Dublin, Ireland, and end on December 7 in Nashville, United States.

On March 2, 2024, Musgraves performed “Too Good to Be True” and “Deeper Well” on Saturday Night Live.

All tracks, except “Too Good to Be True,” were written by , Daniel Tashian, and Ian Fitchuk. “Too Good to Be True” includes Anna Nalick as an additional writer, while “The Architect” was written by Musgraves with Shane McAnally and Josh Osborne.

Kacey Lee Musgraves is an American country singer and songwriter born August 21, 1988. She began her music career in the early 2000s by self-releasing three solo albums and one album as a member of the duo Texas Two Bits. In 2007, she participated in the fifth season of the USA Network singing competition Nashville Star, finishing in seventh place.

In 2012, she signed with Mercury Nashville and released her “Merry Go ‘Round” hit single. Her major-label debut album, Same Trailer Different Park (2013), won the Grammy Award for Best Country Album at the 56th Annual Grammy Awards. Her second album, Pageant Material (2015), debuted at number three on the Billboard 200 chart and yielded critically and commercially successful singles such as “Biscuits” and “Dime Store Cowgirl”.”Musgraves released a Christmas-themed album, A Very Kacey Christmas, in 2016. Her fourth studio album, Golden Hour (2018), was released to widespread critical acclaim. It won all four of its nominated Grammy Award categories, including Album of the Year and Best Country Album. The album's first two singles, “Space Cowboy” and “Butterflies”, won the Grammy Award for Best Country Song and Best Country Solo Performance, respectively.

In 2021, Musgraves released her fifth studio album, Star-Crossed, which became her fourth top-ten album on the Billboard 200. In 2023, she was featured on the single “I Remember Everything” by , which debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and won a Grammy Award for Best Country Duo/Group Performance.

Throughout her career, Musgraves has won seven Grammy Awards, seven Country Music Association Awards, and three Academy of Country Music Awards. She was born in the small town of Golden, TX, and started writing her songs at 8. By 12, she began learning to play guitar, which she claims was one of the most essential things ever happening to her.

After self-releasing three albums, she appeared on USA Network's Nashville Star in 2007, finishing in seventh place. Musgraves' album Same Trailer Different Park was praised for its frank lyricism and her writing skills. It observed and criticized the Middle American way of life, while the single “Follow Your Arrow” saw her shunned by country radio for its open acceptance of the LGBTQ community and the use of marijuana.

Musgraves returned in June 2015 with her second album, Pageant Material, followed by the Country & Western Rhinestone Revue world tour. The following October, she released her first Christmas album, A Very Kacey Christmas, featuring appearances by Willie Nelson, Leon Bridges, and Quebe Sisters. Late 2017 saw her work on her fourth studio album, drawing influence from , disco, and Sade. The result, Golden Hour, was released on March 30, 2018, to rave reviews. It featured the singles “Space Cowboy”, “Butterflies”, “High Horse”, and “Rainbow”, and saw her take on a more expansive and rich sound than her more subdued previous albums.
