JID, the Atlanta-based rapper, has exciting news for his fans. During an Instagram Live session, he announced that he will soon be releasing new music.
He revealed that he and Lil Yachty have a group called the BLAKKBOYZ and they will be dropping two singles titled “Half Doin' Dope” and “Van Gogh”. Additionally, he shared that he has completed his upcoming album, “Forever & A Day”, which will be released in the Fall and consist of 10 to 12 songs.
JID's previous album, “The Forever Story”, released in 2022, featured artists such as Lil Wayne, 21 Savage, and Yasiin Bey and debuted at number 12 on the Billboard 200. In a previous interview, JID explained why he thinks Atlanta's hip hop scene is unique, citing the city's diverse population of Black people.

Destin Choice Route, professionally known as JID or J.I.D, is a rapper and singer from Atlanta. In 2017, he signed with Dreamville Records, an imprint of Interscope Records, owned by J. Cole. JID formed the Spillage Village musical collective with EarthGang in 2010 and later founded the hip hop group Zoink Gang with Smino, Buddy, and Guapdad 4000. He has received critical acclaim for his fluid rapping style and his clever use of wordplay.
